Furniture & Interesting Items

Work is set to begin again, hopefully within the next week.
In the mean time I did some organising of the random pieces of furniture I've collected from the house, as well as some other interesting items.

Most items date from about 1930-1960.

Just to add, the nearby old Deary's department store on Clanbrassil Street, currently stripped back.

  2. Some really nice pieces of furniture, especially love the old trunks. They can be used for tables and storage at the same time once they're cleaned up. The old Singer sewing machine. Now this is going back to the 1960s - when I was in junior high school (7th through 9th grades; then on to high school for 10th through 12th grades) all girls were still required to take "Home Economics" including one semester of a sewing class. All of us learned how to sew on old Singer sewing machines that operated by pumping a foot pedal - no electric power at all! People find that hard to believe today, and I don't even think sewing classes are offered in any school any longer, or even Home Economics! Things have changed so much over the past 50 plus years.
